We give thanks for the excellent total of £5035.30 given during Christian Aid Week. This covers the House to House collection, Coffee Morning, United Service, and special donations. Thank you very much to all who donated during this week and helped in any way. We are very grateful. Please now pray for those who have the responsibility of deciding how best to allocate the funds overall. Paul Tucker

News from Christ Church Baptist
Three years ago Matthew Cooper accepted a call to be the minister at Park Street Baptist Church and, after leading Christ Church since 2006, left Kings Langley. Since then Christ Church has been without a minister, being served Sunday by Sunday by a mix of visiting preachers and some of their own folk. Week-time activities have continued and the calendar has stayed as busy as ever.
Now, though, Christ Church is preparing to welcome a new minister. Revd Matt Powell and his wife Tash are moving down from Leeds and Matt is being inducted as minister at 2pm on Saturday 15 November. The church will be delighted to see any friends who can come at that service, which will be followed by refreshments.
Matt and Christ Church are really excited for the future, as they work together to build God’s kingdom in the church and in the village.
Saturday 11th October at 4pm: Joyful Noise, A Musical Celebration of the Story of Lazarus. At Christchurch Baptist Church, The Nap. Refreshments from 4pm, show starts at 4.30pm and ends by 5.45pm. This is the performance of "Two Sisters and a Funeral" a 'musical in a day' led by the Joyful Noise Choir. All welcome.
Tuesday 14th October at 7.30pm: Rev David Jones’ licensing service at St Mary’s Apsley End. All welcome.
