Harold’s Memorial Service will be held on Thursday 1st October at 2.00 p.m. at All Saints. ( Please, no black ). If it helps, our carpark will be available.

Our Harvest Appeal this year is in aid of All We Can and special donation envelopes will be available from 27th Sept.

There will be a basket available for a token display of harvest produce and this will be taken to the Abbeyfield when we lead their Harvest Service the following Wednesday.

We will also be sharing in our Harvest Lunch. To aid catering, please sign the list on the table. To add to the excitement there’s also the Church Council to look forward to !

Songs of Praise on Sunday 25th will be our 100th and will take a different format as no-one will be invited to choose a hymn. We’ll be sharing some statistics and will be singing your top ten choices since we started in March 2015. There will be no hymnboard, just to add to the tension as we count down from 10-1. ( and don’t be alarmed, we won’t be singing all the verses of every hymn ! )

Sat. 17th – there is a morning booking, so please ‘stay away’ until after 1.30 p.m.

Abbeyfield Friars Mead - The next service will be on Weds. 14th at 11.00 a.m.

The Bible Study Fellowship will meet  at on Weds. 7th  and 21st   at 2.00 p.m.

Billy’s sponsored walk in aid of Tommy’s raised £281 ! Thank you so much to everyone who helped him reach this wonderful sum.

Christian Aid Nepal & Tibet Floods Appeal  - the Methodist red bucket contributed £218.50. Thankyou to all who donated.

We are invited to attend Jan Gilfoyle’s birthday celebrations at HHMC on Sat. 7th Nov. from 3.00 p.m – 6.00 p.m. ( No presents please, but donations can be made to Mencap or AfC. ). Please sign the list so Jan knows how many of us there might be !

Christian Aid Fundraising Meal at La Banq

This popular fundraising event is booked for Mon. 9th Nov. at 7.00 p.m. ( cost pp £23 ). Tickets can be bought online ( https://tinyurl.com/banq26 ) or from Kings Bookshop ( See flyers ) from 4th October.
